Yesterday was my first time ever trying to wear fake eyelashes. It was definitely an interesting experience. Especially since it was my first time using false eyelashes, I was bound to make a few mistakes.

Mistake number one: Make sure you put on all your eye makeup before applying! I saw this in the directions and ignored it figuring that the glue would not be able to stick to the eyeliner. Trust me on this one, the glue will stick to any makeup that you have already applied!

Mistake number two: Trying to apply makeup after the lashes were on. I thought my lashes looked funny without eyeliner, so I decided to apply it after they were on. Which was another very bad idea. Putting on the eyeliner after putting on the eye lashes did in fact make them not look as awkward, but it made some of the glue not sticky anymore. So by this point they were half on, and bugging the living daylights out of me! So I attempted at gluing them back together and it worked okay. But the excess glue was way too heavy on my eyes.

Mistake number three: Not taking them off and doing them properly. Instead of taking them off and starting from scratch I decided to leave them on and just deal with it. Which was also a bad idea. I should have taken them off and redone them.

Because of my mistakes my eyelashes bugged me the entire day from them not being on all the way. So if you do make any mistakes putting them on, it is well worth it to start over. When worn properly these eyelashes are not only beautiful but they are not uncomfortable.

My take:

The Shine & Smooth is just like any of the other oil based frizz control products but it does not weigh your hair down. Which for me is a definite must, because then my hair gets oily faster. I was worried that the Straightener would also make my hair oily but was again surprised by how light it is. Not only that but unlike most straightening products it actually helped make my hair straight! The Thermal Spray is also very different from most others I have tried. Not only does it protect your hair from the heat, but it also holds your hair the way you want it. After using all of these products my hair is extremely soft and smooth, its frizz free and shiny. And best of all I know its not going to look horrible later tonight because its being held the way I want it without feeling stiff or feeling sticky. I highly recommend these products and not just because of their amazing packaging but because they are products that actually work!

Now that you know what this product is about, let me give you my take. Something I definitely was not expecting from this product is that it is mint scented. Not just a normal mint smell, but a very powerful mint smell. Which is good for me but not so much for my husband. For some reason he hates the smell and taste of mint. So I was definitely on my own for this review. I was very intrigued to try the scalp therapy that came with this kit. Its supposed to stop itching instantly, and it did! Which was very impressive. I’m sure most of you have seen my Clear shampoo review, and while I love that product I still have not noticed a major change in my dandruff or my itching. With this product I can feel the difference immediately which is nice. The shampoo however was not very thick. I don’t know how many of you have babies or have used baby shampoo but that’s what it felt like to me. The conditioner didn’t seem very thick either so I was a little worried about what kind of outcome I was going to have. After rinsing out the conditioner I could already feel the difference in my hair, and to make it that much better my scalp did not itch! So I am very happy with this product and I’m sure you will be to!

I received Underology’s Gentle Foam Cleanser as part of a review. I really love this cleanser! My face is very sensitive to certain cleansers. Most of the time my face will be very red after washing, and will still feel very dry and sometimes it will burn. I absolutely hate it! Its really hard to find a gentle cleanser that lives up to its name. I used this cleanser twice in a row and my face is extremely soft and when i got out of the shower it was not red or blotchy like with normal cleansers. The smell is not overwhelming and the foam actually stayed foamy the entire time I used it. I definitely feel like my face is clean, and I don’t feel any harsh effects from it. It is made out of a combination of rose hip seed, olive oil, seaweed and many essential oils. Which would definitely explain why my skin feels so soft! I definitely recommend this product to anyone that has sensitive skin, or any kind of skin really. It seems like an all around great facial cleanser.

Now before you think I am completely nuts, I’m sure most of you have either heard of, or have tried heating your mascara or your eyeliner in order to make it not clump, or to make it easier to apply. I know I have. But how hard is it to warm your mascara? I’ve heard of putting your mascara in warm water, or holding a blow dryer to it, and once I even had someone tell me to hold a lighter to my eyeliner! Don’t worry, I though that one was a little too bizarre too! Although I love the benefits of doing these things, I hate the process. It either takes too long, or is too complicated. Godefroy came up with two different products to give us that clump-less, curled look without the hassle. First one up is their Mascara Warmer.

What I like most about this product is that it has a plug. So you don’t have to worry about batteries. You don’t have to worry about noise like you do with a hair dryer and you don’t have to worry about spilling a cup of water while applying the rest of your makeup. It takes 5-7 minutes to warm up your mascara, yes you can use YOUR favorite mascara, your not limited to choosing their mascara! I find it best to turn it on before you apply the rest of your makeup, that way when your ready to use your mascara it is ready to go. Want extra curl? While applying hold your mascara brush against your eyelash for two seconds while applying to get that extra curl.

Looking for that Hollywood curl? The next product I’m going to review for you is Godefroy’s Heated Eyelash Curler.

This is my new favorite toy! You can use it with or without mascara, so if your not big on mascara but hate still want to add volume to your eyelashes this is also the product for you. It uses one AAA battery (not included) so not only can you use it at home, but you can though it in your purse and use it on the go. When you first look at it, it can be a little intimidating. But don’t let it scare you out of trying it! I hate using the traditional eyelash curler! They never actually curl your lashes, or at least not mine! So I was pretty excited when I received this. It is so much easier to use as you can use it just like you use your mascara brush. You brush up your eyelashes, add a little pressure, and hold for 8-10 seconds. You can repeat this as much as you like until you reach your desired volume.

If you haven’t already noticed, I am very big on smells. If something doesn’t smell good I really don’t want to use it. I used to make candles and soap, so I am a little biased when it comes to reviewing related things. So when I found out that I had the chance to review YesterYear’s soap I was very excited! They sent me their Vanilla Honey, Wild Flowers, and Mountain Air soaps. I don’t think they could have picked any better scents for my family. Although if it was just me, I would have loved Lavender. Anyway, I love scents that smell clean like linen or like the Mountain Air I received. My husband loves the smell of Vanilla, and I just love the smell of fresh flowers so the Wild Flowers scent was perfect. Some of the scents, like the Vanilla Honey are pretty mild, while others like the Wild Flowers is very strong. My Wild Flowers is in my kitchen next to the sink, and every time I walk into the kitchen it smells like there is a bouquet of flowers hidden somewhere. I love it! So not only to they smell amazing, but they feel amazing too! My hands feel so soft after washing my hands with the soap! I am definitely addicted! Their soap is all natural and handcrafted. I recently received Nutra-Lift’s Flawless Foundation to review. My skin is naturally pretty oily and I break out very easily. So I need a very foundation that is not only light, but also covers easily. Nutra-Lift does really well with making a lightweight foundation. I don’t get a chance to wear makeup very often because it takes to much time, so I definitely notice when a makeup is heavy. I have a lot of dark spots so it is very hard to find a foundation that covers everything and is light. Sadly this makeup did not completely cover everything up. But I will say this, this makeup does very well with blending. Not only that but it doesn’t leave your skin looking orange or oddly colored like some makeups do. So to sum up, this makeup does not cake up, it leaves your skin feeling soft because it doesn’t make your skin dry out, and its not too oily. I loved how good my skin looked with this foundation! I definitely will continue to use this makeup, I just need to find a good concealer to go with it.
